Chavurat-Chochma (A Friendly Gathering of Wisdom) is just that – a gathering of Temple Adath Israel members and friends who are 60 years old and better. We meet most months to socialize, enjoy a wonderful meal and learn. In hosting these luncheons and presentations, the Caring Connections Committee celebrates the vitality, intelligence and history this group of congregants brings to our Temple.
Stephanie Barrett searches out and schedules our impressive selection of speakers and performers. Our presenters over the years have been university professors, artists, philanthropists, environmentalists, musicians, representatives of the Muslim community, physicians, members of the military, ~ as well as many others from within the Lexington Jewish community and beyond.
Our delicious lunches are provided by guest cooks with the aid of volunteers. Thanks to Generation TAI for preparing a number of our lunches. We especially want to thank Rachel Estep and John McDonald for their invaluable assistance.
Although the program is primarily for those “of a certain age” ~ all are welcome!
